Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? 5-20-2006 - 3:25 p.m. My four-day weekend is coming to a close and I feel a bit nostalgic. Something about days spent on the beach, staring at the empty blue expanse of Lake Michigan makes me miss my old life. Before I became a slave to Government contract policy. Before I ever knew what "Comprizon" was. Before I gave a damn about interpreting the FAR (look it up if you're extremely bored and extraordinarily curious). I've been dieting and working out incessantly lately so I can get back into the bikini I wore as a junior in college. When I actually felt hot. Like if I can get back my old body, I can somehow get back my old life. Now? With my "Corona and a Lime" belly and and ever-growing number of fine lines around my eyes, I'm not feeling so sexy or desirable. Anywho. The playlist today: -"Stop Me If You Think That You've Heard This One Before"- Originally by The Smiths, but I kinda like the Coldplay remake. - "I Could Fall in Love"- Selena. "Cause the way I feel, I might, lose control and let you stay." -"Desparately"- George Strait. -"Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?"- Moby - "Smile Like You Mean It"- "And someone is playing a game, in the house that I grew up in."
