It's a Good Thing

Good things:

- I heard coyotes howl for the first time while staying in a cabin in southern Illinois over the weekend. Coyotes bark and howl in a very disturbing way, like some kind of crazed dog. They travel in packs through the prarie and cornfields, their barks bringing them ever closer and closer. This is the stuff of horror movies.

- I also saw satellites moving across the sky for the first time while roasting marshmallows. Maybe it was Mir?

-Dolly Parton's "My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy". Someday, my Virginia, someday.

- Getting over hot IT guy. I was out drinking with him last night. He flicked my pony tail, saying he has always wanted to do that at work, but didn't think it would be appropriate office behavior. He watched me from across the bar. He checked out my feet. He made silly faces at me. He was not wearing his wedding ring. I did not turn seven shades of red. I did not sweat or giggle. He smokes, and he's married. I'm so over him.
